TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners involved in the management of patients with Parkinson’s disease.

STATEMENT OF NEED/PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This program has been developed to provide participants with an update on the management
of PD, guidelines for appropriate selection of therapy, and strategies for enhancing patient adherence.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
After completing this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the prevalence and diagnosis of PD*
  2. Recount the implications of non-adherence to pharmacological therapy*
  3. Outline the efficacy and safety of current agents for the management of PD*
  4. Review guidelines for appropriate selection of therapy*
  5. Describe strategies for enhancing patient adherence
