TARGET AUDIENCE

This accredited program is targeted to pharmacists and those with an interest in pharmacy and the Internet.

GOAL

The goal of this program is to provide the pharmacist and health care provider with an overview of existing pharmacy practices and is designed to serve as a guide for the advancement of other pharmaceutical care efforts.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain the history of professional pharmacy services;
  2. Illustrate current collaborative practices and cognitive services successfully utilized by health care providers;
  3. Identify the pitfalls/barriers associated with designing and implementing progressive programs; and
  4. Describe mechanisms to achieve optimal advancement of the profession of pharmacy and improvement in patient care outcomes.
