Dr Michaud  received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Kansas, completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Denver VA Medical Center and a specialty residency in Oncology Pharmacy at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado.  She is Board Certified in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP), is a Fellow of the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (FASHP) and holds a Certification in Medical Quality (CMQ).  Since completion of her training, Dr. Michaud has been employed at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Division of Pharmacy, establishing a clinical pharmacy practice in the area of breast cancer and managing the Breast Medical Oncology, Melanoma/Sarcoma Medical Oncology, and Phase I/Investigational Cancer Therapeutics clinical pharmacy services.

Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to:

  1. Recognize real world evidence (RWE) and how it may be used to support approval of new drugs or indications.
  2. Discuss RWE of treatments of advanced breast cancer and its application to clinical treatment decision making based upon patient specific information.
