At the completion of this continuing education webinar, pharmacists will be able to:
- Explain the pathophysiology and clinical features of classical migraine headache.
- List potential causes, triggers and exacerbating factors for migraine headache.
- Discuss the mechanisms of action, dosage, adverse reactions & drug interactions of medications used for migraine treatment & prophylaxis.
- Understand recent consensus guidelines for using conventional & novel medications in migraine management.
Pharmacy Technicians
At the completion of this continuing education webinar, pharmacy technicians will be able to:
- Name the most common symptoms associated with migraine headache.
- Identify common triggers or exacerbating factors for migraine headache.
- List medications that are FDA-approved for migraine headache management.
- Identify the most common adverse effects associated with medications used for migraine management.
