GOAL
The goal of this activity is to enhance the ability of oncology pharmacists, oncology nurses and NPs who manage and or interact with breast cancer patients to provide information, insights, and solutions, applicable at both systems and local levels to identify, address, and rectify inequities in oncology healthcare delivery.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the activities, the learner will be able to:
- Analyze current evidence for biologic and genetic factors that influence breast cancer prevalence
and outcomes, including triple-negative breast cancer
- Identify how screening and treatment guidelines for breast cancer, including triple-negative
breast cancer, can be individualized to address the needs of patient groups, with the
understanding that medical care is not "once size fits all"
- Apply improved breast cancer care practices by identifying and addressing multiple factors that
affect those patient groups affected by inequalities and poor healthcare access
