HOW TO OBTAIN CREDIT
Participants must 1) read the learning objectives and faculty disclosures; 2) study the educational activity; and 3) complete the posttest and evaluation form directly after the activity within a maximum of 60 days of participating in the activity. To answer the questions, click on your selected choice for each answer then proceed to the next question. Once completed, click on the Grade Exam button at the bottom of the page. Your posttest will automatically be graded. If you successfully complete the posttest (score of 70% or higher), your statement of participation will be made available immediately. The goal of this educational activity is to provide pharmacists with up-to-date knowledge of the drug interaction profile of outpatient COVID-19 therapy, as well as strategies for assessing and managing DDIs associated with outpatient COVID-19 treatment to ensure enhanced pharmaceutical care, resulting in improved patient outcomes.
Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to:
- Explain the pharmacology of ritonavir-boosted nirmatrelvir, its role in outpatient management of COVID-19, and effective strategies for assessing and managing drug-drug interactions (DDIs) with treatment
- Describe relevant patient factors and vulnerable patient populations associated with increased risk for and/or worse outcomes related to DDIs involving COVID-19 treatment
