Goal
To provide oncology, managed care, and specialty pharmacists enhanced knowledge on currently available and emerging options for anemia management in patients with lower-risk MDS to ensure appropriate access to treatment and enhanced pharmaceutical care to optimize outcomes. You will have 2 opportunities to pass the posttest. To receive Credit, you must provide your date of birth and NABP number. All Credit information will be uploaded into CPE monitor within 30 days.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this program, the learner will be able to do the following:
Describe the varying presentations and prognoses of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS)
Discuss current supportive care options for anemia in lower-risk MDS, including limitations of such therapies
Explain new and emerging management options for anemia in lower-risk MDS.
Formulate approaches to provide optimal management of patients with anemia in MDS
