Goal Statement  To provide managed care pharmacists with advanced knowledge about the optimal management of patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) including currently available and investigational treatments to optimize patient care and outcomes.

Educational Objectives  Upon completion of this program, participants should be better able to:

Discuss the pathogenesis of AD and reasons behind its increasing prevalence

Compare and contrast currently available treatments for AD

3.

Appraise investigational treatments for AD and potential implications for future formulary decision making
