Goal Statement
This continuing education activity will enable pharmacists to recognize the complex and chronic nature of AD and evaluate appropriate courses of treatment, and support healthcare providers and patients/families in the management of this condition.

Educational Objectives

Describe the prevalence and presentation of atopic dermatitis (AD)

Differentiate among topical medications for AD and their place in the treatment paradigm

Identify patients who require treatment beyond topical therapies

Evaluate strategies that support care of patients who must manage the chronic and relapsing nature of AD
