Goal The goal of this continuing education activity is to enable specialty and managed care pharmacists to realize the importance of outcome assessments in AD management including evaluating specific therapies’ actual value and the use of quality measures to support decisionmaking.
Learning Objectives Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be better able to:

Describe the ideal clinical value compass of medical outcomes, patient satisfaction, functional status, and cost in patients with AD

Compare adherence monitoring programs and outcome measurement programs for AD and explain the necessity to have both

Analyze outcomes measurement programs for AD and how they represent an important expansion to adherence monitoring programs

Select appropriate measures for healthcare plans that move patients who have AD toward realistic, achievable outcome

Use patient-reported outcomes data to tailor treatment for patients who have AD
